3D Modelling  |  Texturing  |  Lighting  |  VEX Operations

To gain a comprehensive understanding of VEX operations, this project was undertaken to recreate the simple mechanical motion of the windup toy Mxykikker. The modeling phase was completed in Maya, after which the models were transferred to Houdini for texturing and lighting. VEX operations were utilized to accurately simulate the mechanical motion of the toy, allowing for a precise replication of its local and global motion. The procedural nature of VEX provided enhanced control over the animation, enabling the generation of dynamic and efficient motion systems. For the final rendering, Mantra was used, ensuring high-quality visual output with detailed lighting and textures
