As I became more confident using Substance Painter, I wanted to challenge myself with a project that would push my texturing abilities further. Inspired by a quiet evening by the fireplace, I decided to recreate the scene with a vintage aesthetic. I modeled the props in Maya, carefully curated references, and composed the layout to capture a sense of warmth and nostalgia. The texturing process was both the most challenging and rewarding part—requiring a deep focus on surface detail and storytelling through materials. This project was a turning point in my texturing journey and ultimately gave me the confidence to begin mentoring others in the craft.
