3D Modelling | Lighting | Texturing
To deepen the understanding of particle simulation and POP Networks, a project was developed to recreate the motion of a dandelion dispersing its seeds in the wind. The dandelion model was initially created in Maya, and then imported into Houdini for texturing and lighting. The dynamic motion of the seeds was achieved through the use of a POP Network, simulating their natural flight as they are carried away by wind forces. Simultaneously, VEX operations were employed on the dandelion stem to simulate subtle interactions, such as bending and swaying, in response to the wind. Mantra was used for the final render, ensuring high-quality output with detailed lighting and textures.
